Aunt and cousins came for a visit over the long weekend last week, he heard about Snowflakes and has asked me to take him there while they are around. We went on Sunday, before dinner to avoid the crowd after dinner time!
They have new menu, some new additions to the menu like the Hot Best Seller and Sea Amber Jelly. Since they are new, we ordered to try them.
The rest of the menu
The Sea Amber Jelly
I find this to be okay only, the ice is not as fine as the other ice.
Hot best seller.. we didn't know what to expect from this but it turn out to be good. The grass jelly soup with peanuts, taro balls & pearls. All are my favourite!
My all time favourite, The Best Seller (cold version)
Soya ice series set 4, Set 4 comes with red beans, Taro and pearls, I added the taro balls cause that's my favourite. The ice is shaved from soya bean milk ice, which gave the combination a nice taste.
My cousins and kids loved the desserts, I am glad they enjoyed it.
Snowflakes has a customer royalty card where they will give you a stamp for every RM5 you spend, once you spend up to RM50 you will get a bowl of dessert for free! I am now using my 3rd card already, you can imagine how frequent I go there.. :P
My advice again, that the best time to go is in the afternoon and don't go after 8.30pm the place will be packed with people and you won't get to enjoy your dessert as people will be standing next to you waiting for your table! I hope they will open another branch soon.. SNOWFLAKES!

I was cracking my brain that day as to what to make for a friend's birthday cake, was also discussing with a friend who likes to bake on what to make for him. We have some rough idea in mind, so we settled as it is until nearer to the date to decide the details.
My friend's wife gtalk me one fine day, asking me about the coming birthday dinner for her hubby and mentioned that she has ordered cupcakes for him. So, I mentioned to my friend that we don't have to make anything anymore as cupcakes have been ordered. My friend's wife told me she has asked the cupcakes maker to make bass guitar & guitars as deco. This friend of mine, plays bass in my church worship team, he also plays guitar for his cell group worship.
I had the privilege to see the cupcakes before everyone else get to see them, it was love at first sight! She made a grand piano, a bass guitar, a drum set and a saxophone, can start a band play already! The handy work is really good, and also the details, she even had the black notes on the piano! I am very impressed..
I think my friend was surprised by the cakes, which I am glad. Look at the smile on his face! Happy Birthday my dear friend, have yet another blessed year ahead!!
Everyone were rather excited to see the delicate work, some 'fighting' to take a shot with it. All the rest of us are also in the worship band, that's why the excitement!!
My friend ordered 2 flavours for the cupcakes, vanilla and chocolate. I felt the cake was a bit too dry, other than that everything is good!

Went to Midvalley on Saturday, my friends ask me if I would like to join them, and I figured it's been a while since I've last gone there so I went. My friend wanted to buy a pair of sport shoes, that was the main reason they went there.
We stumble across this shop call The Delectable, then my friend started telling me about this shop and how the owner started this business. Then she said, they have this cake call the 7 Sins of Chocolate, apparently their best seller. She asked me 'You wanna try? I treat you.' How can I say no! We bought the 7 Sins of Chocolate which cost RM12, how did it taste? It tasted okay, maybe I was having very very high expectations cause of the name and the price. What I quite like about this cake is that it's not too sweet, if you love chocolates, you should try this out!
The packaging
Some other things they sell
wah lah..
The different layers of chocolate
Here's what made up of the 7 layers, tt starts with a layer of smooth chocolate ganache, a layer of chocolate cake, topped up with light and airy milk chocolate mousse, a dusting of cocoa powder, a sprinkle of crunchy pure cocoa nibs for texture, and couverture pearls resting comfortably over the top!

Snowflakes has become one of my favourite joint a few months ago, this shop basically sells Taiwanese dessert. I go there at least once a month, that is consider a lot, that's what my friends tell me. My favourite order is their Best Seller, it is ice shaving+glass jelly+taro ball.
The Best Seller
Aiyu Jelly (爱玉冰)
6 of us had 2 best seller serve with cream, 1 Aiyu Jelly & 1 Soya Series
The 'Beeping UFO'
Aiyu Jelly (爱玉冰)
6 of us had 2 best seller serve with cream, 1 Aiyu Jelly & 1 Soya Series
The soya series dessert is really unique. The ice is actually made out of soya bean juice, then shave to ice shaving. There are basically 3 series, Soya Series, Grass Jelly Series and Taro Ball series. With these series you get to choose about 5 different combination of toppings, some of the toppings are like taro, barley, red beans, bubbles (those in bubble tea), peanuts, black glutinous rice, these is what I can remember.
The 'Beeping UFO'
What is the 'Beeping UFO' for? Snowflakes is a self service place, this beeping UFO is what they use to inform the customers that their orders are ready. The UFO will vibrate and blink when orders are ready to be collected from the counter.
This place also sell Tau Fu Fa with different kinds of toppings, smoothies, bubble tea, yau char kuai, soya bean, and Hiong Peng. This please is really crowded after 8.30pm, if you wanna visit this place, I recommend that you go either in the afternoon or before 8.30pm.
