We had our May and June birthday celebration at F4 Fish Head Restaurant located in an industrial area of USJ 1. This is one of my favourite place to dine as the food is nice and price is right!
Asam Fish Head, yummy. I personally prefer the ginger steamed fish but some of my friends does not like ginger so we ordered this.
Herbal chicken, meat was soft and tender and the herbs made the aroma really nice.
Stir fry sweet potato leaves
Salted egg fried squid. This is average only, I think they didn't put enough salted egg yoke, but the squid is fried very nicely, not dry nor hard.
'Village' Taufu - home made taufu with minced pork and Chinese pickled turnip. Nice..
Claypot Pork belly with salted fish. Another one of my favourite dish, have to order every time we dine there.
Stir fry baby long beans with roast pork. This dish is normal only.
A group photo. That's the durian cheesecake I made. :)

Frontage, the restaurant is located next to Speedy 99 super mart
We normally have our family dinner on Sundays, where my sis and I will make a point to not have any appointment on Sundays so we can take our parents out for a meal. I suggested to try Happy Days in Taipan, looking at the interesting deco and settings every time I passed by.
When we step into the restaurant, the feel is really cool, makes you feel like you are back in the days of John Trovalta and Grease. Even the music played are the songs of that era.
The upper deck is like a lounge, and smoking area
The tables and chairs I think are custom made
Scooter bike
The Menu Cover
After checking out the menu, the food type is American style something like TGIF
There is a promotion when we went there, buy 1 main course free 1 kid's meal. This fish & chips is from the kid's menu. The fish is fried just nice, not too dry, and the chips were crunchy and soft inside.
Pizza from the kids meal. Thin crust, tasted okay only
Appertizer: Fried calamari, loaded potato skin and fried mozzarella cheese. The fried cheese was good, the ones that I tried the cheese normally quite hard but this one, it's really soft. yumm..
The cheese oozes out.. :)
Roasted spring chicken. Meat was tender and nice.
Roast rack of lamb. This was good, the meat is tender and sauce is tasty
I will visit the place again to try on their other dishes. :)

We went to this Brother Yat for our care cell's CNY and February Birthday celebration dinner. I passed by this place a few times while going to my favourite F4 Restaurant down the road. I always ask myself if the food from that place tasted any good every time I see it. One day, my sis went there and try and told me about their signature dish sauna prawns (live prawns soak in beer for a while then put on a hot pot to be cook alive) the process seems cruel but will try it definitely.
We didn't order the sauna prawns this time round as few of my friends are allergy to prawns. Since it's CNY of course we orderd Yee Sang, we had jelly fish instead of sashimi fish.
Here comes the fun part, tossing the yee sang
The aftermath of tossing.. messiness!
Salted egg squid - tasted good, the squid is fried just nice not too dry
German style pork knuckle - the meat were tender and skin were crispy. The sauce was nice, a bit of sourish and pepper taste.
Sweet Potato Leaves fried with Fu Yu - tasted alright
XO Sauce fried Tau Fu - tau fu are homemade, its quite a unique combination
Crispy Brinjal - the brinjal were not that crispy as the name has said it, but this dish tasted good with some dried shrimps added to it
Steamed fish with Salted veg & tau fu - this tasted good and the sauce is very tasty.
The food in this place in general tasted good, will definitely visit again and try the sauna prawns the next time.
One for the record.. :)

Frontage
After church service on Christmas treated myself with a nice lunch. For some reason western food is associated with Christmas, I guess Italian is considered as western.
We went to Pizza Uno, a joint that I have not been to for a longest time. They only have special menu for Christmas and New Year. Here are what we ordered.
They serve Illy coffee, taste good!
Carbonara, very tasty, too bad its beef bacon and not the 'real' bacon
Coffee ice blended with ice-cream!
Pasta with clam with a touch of wine, tasted good
The clams are a lot and fresh too!
Roast Lamb
Duck 2 types, cryspy and roast
Pasta with prawns
The price is a bit pricey, but food was good. We didn't have any space in stomach for dessert.
