Bangkok & Pattaya Day 4

A shot taken from my hotel room

Today is my last day in Bangkok, my plan is to go to Chaktuchak weekend market and MBK shopping mall. I took a MTR (our version or LRT) which takes me directly to CTC. I was so amazed by how big the place is and the varieties is incredible and well organised by sections of the types of things you want to buy.
Some of the stalls by the road side
So many things being sold! I have learned that if you like the stuff you see, buy it immediately if not you might not be able to find the shop again. The only down side of this place is the ally is very small and it's very stuffy and hot inside, I was soaking wet after about 2 hours of shopping in there.
Traffic of Bangkok, congested.
MBK Centre, very big shopping mall, like our version of Sg. Wang. I like their taxi colour, shocking pink!

In general, I like the shopping and food part of Bangkok but not the traffic and the weather! Will definitely visit Bangkok again... :)

Bangkok & Pattaya Day 3

We left for Bangkok early in the morning for our next destination, the Safari World.
While walking in, we were welcomed by a company of parrots, boy they are noisy and loud. I was quite amazed at their colours, bright and nice!
This is the safari part, cranes on trees and many of them.
Giraffe and Zebra
Lions!
Don't know the names.. but they look like goats..
Tigers!
Bears..
Peacock.. there weren't many types of animals in the safari but it's good enough for me for the moment..
The Royal Dragon, our dinner place
The restaurant compound is really big, total of 8.35 acres which got them a Guinness World Record.
The servers serve by skating because the compound is so big, I find it quite entertaining.

We proceed back to the hotel after this, I didn't go out for walk anymore as I was dead tired!

End of Day 3

Bangkok & Pattaya Day 2

We took a 30 minutes speedboat ride to one of the island of Pattaya, on the way we stopped by a deck for skydiving experience. It was really fun and exciting flying in the sky.
I was quite amazed with all the beach benches around the sea side when I reached the island and they are so near the sea.
The beach benches are not free for all, you've gotto pay for it! Everything there needs to be paid for, plenty of clever businessmen around.
Those who don't like sea sports can do some shopping and eating here.
Galore of seafood
Sweet, sweet corn. Steamed or BBQ
BBQ fish
BBQ seafood.. choose what you wanna eat and cook them!
BBQ chicken tight.. this is really tasty!
Central, a new shopping complex in Pattaya
I saw this interesting cocktail car just outside the shopping complex.
Alcazar show is a must see when you are in Pattaya. It is a performance by the Ah Kua (Transsexual), it was really an enjoyable performance. They basically lip sing to the song with dancing.
After the show, they will come out and hang out at the car park for people to take photos with them. You need to pay about 40 Baht to take photo with them.
Some of them really look very pretty, but once they talk... oh dear..

End of Day 2..

Bangkok & Pattaya Day 1

It was my first time to Bangkok during CNY this year. There have been so much that I have heard of this place, and finally have a chance to visit here.

The first thing that I notice after I've arrived is the weather and traffic! Hot, humid even worst than Malaysia, need me to say that Bangkok is famous for their traffic jam! Another thing I noticed was Buddha statue everywhere I go, intersection of cross roads, in hotels, shopping places, its just everywhere!
We went for a river cruise, to see the famous floating market but unfortunately, the river that we went was not so happening.
Saw a few temples along the river, and some residence along the river. Some of the house is pretty run down and you can also see a few of them that is very luxurious. What a contrast.
We then proceed to the crocodile farm. I can't help but took the photo below with the complicated wiring!
The crocodile farm has a few other animals rared there, i was quite intrigued by the pig racing.
Creating 'Racial' harmony..
Pig Racing!
Crocodile eggs
Crocodiles!
Crocodile show.. as if the crocodiles have been hypnotized.

After the Tiger/Crocodile Zoo, we proceed to Pattaya, which is about 2 hours bus ride from Bangkok. We stopped by Pattaya Floating Market to shop for a while, the place is like a maze, I was a bit worried that I'll get lost in there.
There were plenty of local food delights, and also crafts, clothing and many more..

More on Pattaya in Day 2 post.. :)
