My cousin recommended this place to dine when we went back to Kulai during CNY. Since my aunt and uncle are back from the US, we all went. This place is in a quite secluded area and if I don't have a GPS or a friend who's been there, I don't think I will ever end up in that place. We drove about 1 hour from Kulai to Telok Jawa, thank God the traffic at Pasir Gudang is not that bad.
The restaurant is build extended to the sea, when we arrived it was still low tide, we could see some small crabs running around. I was busy taking some shots around and trying to take the sunset.
While I was taking photos, I got a sms from Singtel welcoming me to Singapore. Don't know if you can see from the photos that just opposite the sea it is Singapore!
Overlooking Singapore and their 'birds'...
There are fresh seafood to choose from, once you've chosen them you choose also the way to prepare them
Kam Hiong Mantis Prawns.. nice but the prawns still had shell on which is a bit troublesome to eat.. (lazy people complaining... )
Butter Milk Squid, tasted good with a tinge of chinese wine added
Black pepper crab.. this was finger, licking, good. The crabs were big with loads of meat. :)
By about 8pm, the place is packed!
Here is the address and phone number to this restaurant.
It was indeed a good experience and adventure. The food is good in general, I might pester my cousin to bring me there again..

This place is one of my favourite place to visit, I like the spread and the price of this place. The spread is plenty and the price is reasonable. This restaurant is quite hidden, if not for my friend who took me there I wouldn't have known how to get there.
The place is quite crowded during weekends
Choose what you like
The buffet spread
Seafood section, matis prawns, bamboo clam
Butter for grilling
All segregated by sections, meat, veg, seafood, taufu and many more
The black pepper lamb is one of my favourite
Seafood is fresh, the have scallops too..
Cooking time, the middle pot is for steamboat, both clear soup and tong yam
The mess after that..

Interior
A friend took me to this place to try out Sarawakian food, it was quite a cosy cafe. I was pretty excited as I get to try Kolo Mee and 3-layer tea.
Showing off their stuff
The menu
3-layer tea, was very nice. The tea is thick enough, and the sugar syrup smells good.
Cendol, the texture of the cendol is a bit different
Santubung Fried Chicken Drummet, taste ok only
Mee tomato, a real disappointment, took me a while to finish this
Kolo mee, can't be as good as eating it in Kuching itself
Hock Chew Red Rice wine chicken rice, tasted good.
Can't remember the name of this dish.. (that's the punishment for slacking)
Will probably not visit this place again, no wow effect, for me that is. :P
