Sg. Pelek, Sepang

A shot of the seaside
Some of our young adults leaders gone for a short retreat to Sg. Pelek for the New Year break. Sg. Pelek is located about 1 hour drive from Subang Jaya. From Subang Jaya, we took the Elite highway through KLIA way towards Sepang. This trip is organised through a travel agent there, where meals and accommodation are included.

The first thing we did when we arrived is eat! The tour guide took us to for Bak Kut Teh for lunch, according to him that place is a very popular place. They serve the soup and dry BKT, all of us were very hungry as the time is about 2pm when we arrived.

I felt the taste was so so only, not that impressive overall is okay. After lunch we proceed to the mushroom farm for a short tour. The farm is not at the place where we went but they packing and retail is at the mushroom factory.

After visiting the mushroom farm, we went back to the bungalow to rest and wait for our BBQ dinner. While waiting, we went to visit a church friend who just stay across the road. We chit chat, had coconut juice, dragon fruit and many other stuff our friend served us. The kids played shooting for basket ball, everyone had fun just doing nothing.

At about 6.30pm, we went back to our bungalow to freshen up and wait for the rest of the gang to come for dinner.
Dinner, Part I
Dinner Part II, sweet corn & sweet potato
 The wings tasted good
BBQ crabs, though the crabs was small but it tasted very sweet.
We sang some songs while waiting for dinner part II, it was really fun!
Everyone enjoyed themselves, even the kids had great fun too!

The tour guide took us for noodle breakfast the next day, he recommended the rojak noodle which is the signature dish there.

 Clear soup noodle
Dry noodle, their noodles are home made
Curry Laksa, tasted alright.
The noodles tasted okay, the rojak noodle is quite unique, tasted a bit sweet.

We had a group devotion after that, watched a short video and prayed. We also took a group photo near the lake.
We proceeded for lunch after that.

Oh Jian, oyster pancake. Very different style, tasted good
 Steam fish.. very fresh!
