This place is one of my favourite place to visit, I like the spread and the price of this place. The spread is plenty and the price is reasonable. This restaurant is quite hidden, if not for my friend who took me there I wouldn't have known how to get there.
The place is quite crowded during weekends
Choose what you like
The buffet spread
Seafood section, matis prawns, bamboo clam
Butter for grilling
All segregated by sections, meat, veg, seafood, taufu and many more
The black pepper lamb is one of my favourite
Seafood is fresh, the have scallops too..
Cooking time, the middle pot is for steamboat, both clear soup and tong yam
The mess after that..

Interior
A friend took me to this place to try out Sarawakian food, it was quite a cosy cafe. I was pretty excited as I get to try Kolo Mee and 3-layer tea.
Showing off their stuff
The menu
3-layer tea, was very nice. The tea is thick enough, and the sugar syrup smells good.
Cendol, the texture of the cendol is a bit different
Santubung Fried Chicken Drummet, taste ok only
Mee tomato, a real disappointment, took me a while to finish this
Kolo mee, can't be as good as eating it in Kuching itself
Hock Chew Red Rice wine chicken rice, tasted good.
Can't remember the name of this dish.. (that's the punishment for slacking)
Will probably not visit this place again, no wow effect, for me that is. :P

A shot of the seaside
Some of our young adults leaders gone for a short retreat to Sg. Pelek for the New Year break. Sg. Pelek is located about 1 hour drive from Subang Jaya. From Subang Jaya, we took the Elite highway through KLIA way towards Sepang. This trip is organised through a travel agent there, where meals and accommodation are included.
The first thing we did when we arrived is eat! The tour guide took us to for Bak Kut Teh for lunch, according to him that place is a very popular place. They serve the soup and dry BKT, all of us were very hungry as the time is about 2pm when we arrived.
The dry one
The Soupy one
I felt the taste was so so only, not that impressive overall is okay. After lunch we proceed to the mushroom farm for a short tour. The farm is not at the place where we went but they packing and retail is at the mushroom factory.
Straw mushroom
First time I've seen this pinkish mushroom
Packing the mushroom for selling
Low tide, beach side just next to the mushroom farm
After visiting the mushroom farm, we went back to the bungalow to rest and wait for our BBQ dinner. While waiting, we went to visit a church friend who just stay across the road. We chit chat, had coconut juice, dragon fruit and many other stuff our friend served us. The kids played shooting for basket ball, everyone had fun just doing nothing.
At about 6.30pm, we went back to our bungalow to freshen up and wait for the rest of the gang to come for dinner.
Dinner, Part I
Dinner Part II, sweet corn & sweet potato
The wings tasted good
BBQ crabs, though the crabs was small but it tasted very sweet.
Everyone enjoyed themselves, even the kids had great fun too!
The tour guide took us for noodle breakfast the next day, he recommended the rojak noodle which is the signature dish there.
Noodle stall.. doesn't have a name
The rojak noodle
Clear soup noodle
Dry noodle, their noodles are home made
The noodles tasted okay, the rojak noodle is quite unique, tasted a bit sweet.
We had a group devotion after that, watched a short video and prayed. We also took a group photo near the lake.
We proceeded for lunch after that.
Crispy Chicken
Oh Jian, oyster pancake. Very different style, tasted good
Steam fish.. very fresh!
Buttermilk prawns, tasted good and fresh too
We went to see the Golden Palm Tree Water villas, quite interesting layout
The villas from afar
Very interesting recycle area
It was indeed a fun filled trip with loads of laughter, fellowship and of course eating!
